This year everyone seems to have an obsession with mason jars and I am one of those proud followers! I have a collection of my own waiting to be made into something useful:
I don’t know what it is about a before and after project but I LOVE IT! Since I’ve been slacking on my own before and after projects – I decided to find a little inspiration in others
Here’s a few that might spark some attention!
This makes me want to get up and do something!!
I don’t know if you noticed or not – but this girl got a new banner!!
I finally feel like I fit in with all my favorite blogs haha! So let’s talk about who gave me this wonderful look because I owe her the world!
Kirstie from is the master behind the amazingness! She took my ideas and inspiration and made me a few samples to choose from. I went from hating my previous banner to having the HARDEST time picking out of the options she gave me!
Here’s what Kirstie has to say about her business:
“My Business is called Little Tinspirations, the name comes from my first born daughter, Katherine who my husband Ryan and I have nicknamed ”Tin Tin”, she has been my little inspiration for starting my own business because I want to be able to stay at home with my children.
I’ve been working with graphics since middle school (About 10 years) when I first got my own personal computer but only decided to make it a living this year when my husband and I found out that we’re expecting a second child.
It took a lot of researching in how I wanted to go about it but I finally opened up an Etsy Shop just in August (which is Little Tinspirations) which I’ve dedicated mostly to making custom announcements, invitations, postcards, and other digital art for children but am also embarking into more graphic design work.
Some other things I do include photography editing and video editing. I pretty much love editing and designing in general and I am always looking to get into new things when it comes to graphics.”
You can find her at any of the following locations:
She also made me an awesome button that I can share with everyone – feel free to grab mine and Kirstie’s buttons and put them on your blog!
Want a design of your own? Contact Kirstie via her email and let her know you found her from my blog!
I was checking out Zulily the other day to find some outfits for Emma now that she’s in school and weather is starting to drop into the Fall zone
It’s funny, I didn’t really like fall until recently. I’m a warm weather fan but lately I’ve been excited about curling up in my cozy clothes, drinking hot chocolate, and dressing up Emma in some seriously cute outfits!
This little girl would be completely set!
Sorry for the week of being MIA! I took a little vacation but now I am back and ready to go!! Check out these crazy clocks I found – one for every room
I have a hard enough reading clocks that aren’t digital – this one would drive my little brain insane!
This one belongs in my house! I think my husband would laugh if I brought this one home
This would be a perfect gift for music lovers! It’s an old record turned into a clock and it’s pretty darn cool if you ask me!
A perfect kitchen addition! We have a perfect space above our pantry for this gem!
Another one to confuse my lack of reading a clock! But you have to admit it looks pretty cool!
Sometimes when you find exactly what you want but it’s not the color you wanted it to be.. you have to improvise! My has been searching high and low for a letter M for her library:
She took her extra room and decided to fill it with all her books! She’s slowly been decorating it with pops of teal but she could only find this M:
Since some colors don’t show pictures very well – this is a royal blue! You can also see the amazing rig my dad did so I could hang it and spray paint it evenly Two screws in the bottom on a hanger.
They went out and bought the correct color of paint that goes with her teal room!
A little spray paint later..
She is trying to figure out if she likes it better here or
Here! What do you think?
Either way – I’m glad I could help her get the correct color she wanted!
This summer, Ombre has hit the streets like it’s the next best thing – but is it on it’s way out this fall?
It didn’t take long for this hit to go crazy but I will say I prefer the more natural look than the obvious dipped your ends in bleach look!
I kind of laugh at myself sometimes because after three months of not going to get my hair done – my natural look starts look ombre-ish. So every three months I feel like I’m in style! Why bother getting my hair done multiple times
This is more of what my hair looks like above. It’s pretty dark and I get highlights in it often and since my hair grows so fast it doesn’t take long for it to look like that! (If only I styled my hair more often..)
Doesn’t it look stunning when it looks natural? I suggest if you are going to try this out that you do it professionally so it looks as natural as possible. But.. if you aren’t so into the natural look you can go crazy with color!
Since I’m not brave enough to attempt a whole color change like the ones above – I’d probably stick to a somewhat natural red – like below.
But I’m pretty sure my husband would appreciate it if I stayed my brown to light brown
So what do you think? Is Ombre still in or are we going to fade out of this trend as soon as fall approaches?

What kind of table do you have in your entry way?
Okay – I hope you are ready for a long post because I LOVE PLAYROOM STORAGE IDEAS! Having a toddler who now has an entire room for just her toys – I am ALWAYS on the look out for ideas on how to store her stuff!
Check out what I found:
I love the height because too much higher for little kids isn’t great and they are on the floor playing anyways. I also like that you can see most of the toys but because there are a few buckets to hide the loose crazy stuff it does look really organized.
These buckets are GORGEOUS and they look like they would hold a good amount. This would be perfect for those larger awkward toys or maybe Emma’s pile of stuffed animals
Labeled buckets? YES PLEASE! I think this would be perfect for our outdoor toys since it doesn’t really need to look great, the buckets need to be kinda heavy duty, and it looks so great!
I love these mini crates! I can imagine Emma stacking her entire car collection in these and it’s perfect for smaller (but not too small) toys! You could stack these on top of a shelf or even on the side table because they could work as home decor as well!
This comes from one of my FAVORITE BLOGS and when she did her playroom makeover my jaw just dropped. I love that they are all along the floor so easy height and that they are sturdy but easy to get in and out. I also love that she stuck with one color bucket so it looks gorgeous and like it’s part of the room decor.
Here are some of the same buckets (I think these are from Target? correct me if I’m wrong!) but I LOVE the little sign on the outside. Since Emma Beans can’t read yet this would be a perfect idea for us!
Ahh my love for organization, toys, and bright colors has been fixed for the day
We are pet friendly people in this house and we like to cater to our little kitty’s obsessions. As much as we spoil our little girl, I am NOT a fan of having her things out and in the way. Luckily she doesn’t even like her Petsmart bed that we got her, she prefers the rocking chair instead.
I figured I wasn’t the only one who would prefer more home friendly pet accessories. I hope you enjoy my finds!
Our kitchen is large enough to have an island so if we ever decide to get one we can dedicate a little space to our kitty.
I like the simplicity of the one above. It can fit anywhere in the house without overbearing and can blend in with almost any style home.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this one! The fact that you could use this as an ottoman or side table really excites me! Put a little round piece of glass on top to keep a lamp or cup sturdy.
I also love that if it were face the opposite direction – you wouldn’t even know it was a cat bed! Like a secret little hide out for my little one!
Built in’s area always awesome. The fact that it’s under a bench seat so it would just be wasted space anyways is perfect.
This is a clever idea! Using a drawer and fitting it with a blanket or pillow. You could easy change this to fit your homes color and fabric scheme.
Which one is our favorite?
